Timeframes: apni zindagi ke mutabiq chart chunein

Ek hi market 15-minute chart par girti hui aur daily chart par barhti hui nazar aa sakti hai. Har timeframe alag sawal ka jawab deta hai, aur sawal aap ke holding period ke mutabiq hona chahiye. 15-minute chart din mein 96 candles banata hai, daily sirf ek. Zyada candles ka matlab zyada mauqe nahi, balkay zyada faislay, zyada fees aur zyada jazbati ghaltiyan hain.

Naye seekhne walon ke liye daily chart behtar hai.

  1. Ek hi market har timeframe par alag dikhti hai; apne holding period ke mutabiq chart chunein.
  2. Shuru mein daily chart ko main rakhein aur weekly se context lein.
  3. Tez chart ka matlab tez munafa nahi, balkay zyada fees aur zyada jazbati faislay hain.

The story

Bilal works in an accounts office in Peshawar. He kept a 5-minute ETH chart open in a browser tab and checked it between invoices. In one week he made 23 trades. His phone buzzed during meetings, he rushed Asr, and he snapped at his younger brother at dinner. At the end of the week his account was down Rs 6,800, and about a third of that was fees. His analysis was not the only problem. He had chosen a chart speed that his life could not support.

What a timeframe changes

The same market can look like three different markets. On a 15-minute chart, ETH might be in a sharp downtrend. On the daily chart, the same fall is a small dip inside a rising trend. On the weekly chart it barely shows. None of these views is wrong. Each timeframe answers a different question, and the question should match how long you plan to hold.

Smaller timeframes show more candles, more noise and more apparent chances. A 15-minute chart prints 96 candles a day; a daily chart prints one. More candles do not mean more opportunity. They mean more decisions, more fees, and more moments for fear and greed to act.

  • 15m and 1h: short-term timing. Very noisy, needs full attention and fast discipline.
  • 4h: a middle view, often used to time an entry inside a daily setup.
  • Daily (1d): the main chart for most part-time learners. One candle a day, calm decisions.
  • Weekly (1w): the big picture. Shows the main trend and the major levels.

Why beginners should start on the daily chart

The daily chart suits people with jobs, studies or businesses. You can review it once a day, after Isha or before work, set your orders, and close the app. Levels on the daily chart are watched by far more participants than 5-minute levels, so they tend to matter more. Stops are wider, but you balance that with a smaller position, which Level 6 shows you how to calculate. Most important, the daily chart gives you time to think before you act.

A practical rule: pick one main timeframe, then look one step higher for context. If you plan on the daily, check the weekly trend first. If the weekly chart is falling hard, a daily setup to buy has the wind against it. In Level 9 you will add a lower timeframe for timing, once the basics are automatic.

Crypto, PSX and gold keep different clocks

Crypto trades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a weekly crypto candle holds seven daily candles. PSX trades on weekdays during market hours, so a weekly stock candle holds five sessions, and weekend news appears as a gap at Monday's open. International gold and major currency pairs trade almost around the clock on weekdays. On most crypto charts the daily candle closes at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:00 am in Pakistan. Remember the clock behind a chart before you compare it with another.

The numbers

Worked example: what chart speed costs in fees

Suppose each trade uses Rs 50,000 and the exchange charges 0.1% when you buy and 0.1% when you sell. One round trip costs Rs 50 + Rs 50 = Rs 100.

Bilal on the 5-minute chart: 23 round trips in a week = Rs 2,300 in fees. Over four weeks that is about Rs 9,200, before a single win or loss. A daily-chart plan with 3 round trips a month costs Rs 300. The fee gap alone is Rs 8,900 a month.

Candle counts tell the same story. In 30 days a 15-minute crypto chart prints 2,880 candles (96 x 30), a daily chart 30, and a weekly chart about 4. Every candle is one more chance to make an impulsive decision.

The Islamic lens

Sahih al-Bukhari 2072 teaches that no one has eaten better food than what he earned by the work of his own hands. For most readers, the main earning is a job, a trade or freelance work, and that work is also a trust. Hours you are paid for belong to your employer or your clients, not to a 5-minute chart. A timeframe that pulls your attention away from salah, work and family is not a neutral technical choice. Choosing the daily chart keeps investing in its proper place: a part of life, not the owner of it.

Sahih al-Bukhari 2072

Education, not a fatwa. Where scholars differ, we say so. See what scholars say.

The trap

Believing that faster charts mean faster profit. Short timeframes multiply fees, false moves and emotional decisions, and they reward reaction speed that part-time traders do not have. Many people switch to 1-minute charts after a loss to 'win it back quickly', which usually turns one bad day into a bad month.

Your drill

Open the ETH chart on the 15-minute timeframe and describe the trend in one word: up, down or sideways. Switch to 4h, then 1d, then 1w, and describe each in one word. Note where the answers disagree. Then open Chart Tutor on the daily view and compare its explanation with yours. Finish by writing down which timeframe will be your main chart, and why it fits your day.

Key takeaways

  1. The same market can be falling on 15 minutes and rising on the daily; each timeframe answers a different question.
  2. Beginners should use the daily chart as the main view and check the weekly for context.
  3. Faster charts multiply fees and emotional decisions, not profits.

Check yourself

Pass with 2 of 3 to complete the lesson. Answers are checked on our server, so the certificate means something.

1. ETH is falling on the 15-minute chart but making higher highs and higher lows on the daily. For a part-time investor who plans on the daily chart, this is mainly:

2. Each round trip costs 0.2% in fees on Rs 50,000. How much do 40 round trips cost?

3. You plan your trades on the daily chart. Which timeframe should you check first for context?
