- ATR
- Average True Range: how much a coin typically moves in a period. Used to set stops and position size.
- Buy zone / Wait / Avoid
- Barqish’s daily verdict for a coin: a calmer area to consider buying, a time to be patient, or a setup to stay away from.
- DEX
- A decentralised exchange where you swap from your own wallet through smart contracts.
- Drawdown Girawat
- How far a price or account has fallen from its peak.
- EMA Moving average

- Fatwa فتویٰ
- A religious ruling given by a qualified mufti on a specific question. Barqish does not issue fatwas.

- Contracts to buy or sell later, usually settled without delivery and traded with leverage. Scholars widely consider them impermissible.
- Gharar غرر Had se zyada ghair yaqeeni
- Excessive uncertainty or ambiguity in a deal, such as not knowing what you are buying or whether it exists. Minor uncertainty is tolerated; excessive gharar makes a contract invalid.
- Halal حلال Jaiz
- Permissible. Barqish shows “Compliant” for coins that pass its screening, while reminding you that screening is guidance, not a ruling.
- Haram حرام Najaiz
- Prohibited. Barqish shows “Non-compliant” for coins whose core business involves interest, gambling, leverage or prohibited industries.
- Hawl حول Saal

- Spot trading
- Buying a coin at today’s price with your own money and owning it straight away. The only kind of trading Barqish covers.

- A token pegged to a currency such as the US dollar (for example USDT). Issuer reserves may earn interest, so many scholars accept using it for payments but not holding it for yield.
