What would change this verdict: It would move to halal if the questionable income were removed or ring-fenced, and scholars converged. It would move to not permissible if riba or gambling became its core.

Purification (tathir): If you still trade a doubtful coin, many scholars advise purifying the portion of profit that may come from impermissible income. When the exact share is unknown, a common practice is to give around 5% of net profit to charity, more if the doubt is large. This is precautionary guidance, not a fatwa.

Screening criteria follow the framework used by contemporary Shariah crypto screens: purpose of the asset, riba, maysir and gharar, prohibited industries, leverage, staking model and possession (qabd).
