Nafs: the enemy inside the account
Most trading losses are not analysis mistakes. They are emotional decisions: buying because everyone is buying (FOMO), doubling down after a loss (revenge), or holding a loser hoping it comes back (denial).
The Quran describes the nafs that commands to evil and the nafs that blames itself. In trading you need the second one: the voice that says 'wait, is this my plan or my emotion?'
- FOMO: price already jumped, you feel left behind. The cure is a rule: never buy a candle, buy a level.
- Revenge: you lost, you want it back now. The cure is Sabr Mode: a fixed pause after any loss.
- Denial: you are underwater and keep saying 'it will recover'. The cure is the stop-loss you set before entering.
Barqish's Nafs Guard asks three questions before every trade plan. Answer them honestly. Nobody is watching except you and Allah.
Analyse any coin and read the three Nafs Guard questions before the trade plan.
Test yourself
You lost a trade and immediately want to enter a bigger one to win it back. This is…
- Good discipline
- Revenge trading; take a pause ✓
- A sign of confidence
- Recommended by professionals
Revenge trading is the fastest way to turn a small loss into a big one. A fixed pause breaks the cycle.
A coin is up 25% today and your group chat is celebrating. The professional response is…
- Buy now before it goes higher
- Wait for a pullback to a level, or skip it ✓
- Use leverage to catch up
- Sell your other coins to buy it
Buying after a big jump means a far-away stop and a bad risk-to-reward. Levels, not candles.
What is the purpose of Sabr Mode?
- To block your account forever
- A cooling-off period after a loss so you do not trade on emotion ✓
- To hide losses
- To increase leverage
Sabr Mode pauses trade logging for a period you choose, giving the emotional wave time to pass.
Roman Urdu mein parhein: Nafs: account ke andar ka dushman
Zyada tar trading ke nuksan analysis ki ghalti nahi hote. Woh jazbati faisle hote hain: sab khareed rahe hain is liye khareedna (FOMO), nuksan ke baad dugna lagana (badla), ya haarne wale coin ko umeed par pakre rehna (inkaar).
- FOMO: qeemat uchhal chuki, aap peeche reh gaye lagte hain. Ilaaj ek usool: kabhi candle na khareedo, level khareedo.
- Badla: haare, abhi wapas chahiye. Ilaaj Sabr Mode: har nuksan ke baad ek muqarrar waqfa.
- Inkaar: nuksan mein hain aur kehte rehte hain 'wapas aa jayega'. Ilaaj woh stop-loss jo entry se pehle tay kiya.
Barqish ka Nafs Guard har trade plan se pehle teen sawal poochta hai. Imandari se jawab dein. Aap aur Allah ke siwa koi nahi dekh raha.
Aham baat: Plan sukoon mein likha jata hai. Jazbaat be-sukooni mein bolte hain. Pur-sukoon wale ki manein.
